As a people we are connected. So much so that without enough skin to skin connection with one another , our skin will start to rumble. It’s important to keep in mind that skin is the largest organ in our body. Similarly to when your stomach will ache and groan when its cravings aren’t being satisfied, likewise our skin can act out when its needs aren’t meant.
There is also a spiritual exchange taking place when there’s a skin to skin exchange, because even in Jesus’ ministry hes known for washing his disciples feet. Yes, it was an act of humility, but I believe it is also an act of spiritual bonding.

How to feed your skin
When I say feeding your skin i’m meaning it in the sense of relieving you of touch deprivation symptoms. Our bodies are so cool because they know what we need many times before we are aware. When your skin is hungry your body will do things to relieve touch deprivation. You may find yourself needing to sleep with many pillows & heavy blankets or maybe yearning for longer showers and hot baths.
Here are many ways to feed your skin :
- Bodywork

- Cuddling.
